Biography

Maxime Robert

Born in Suresnes, Maxime Robert first stayed in Lille before settling in Limoges. A photographer by training, he took up painting a few years ago.

His paintings sound like a Wagner score. In the author of "Lohengrin" the leitmotif is a key theme, repeated throughout a work to impose an idea, a character. It is a very affirmative formula that is found on Maxime Robert's paintings.

Dissonant, these scores ring out with force in the eyes of collectors. On the glued and acrylic-painted papers, the artist makes the music of his heart heard. A peaceful, sensual, sometimes poetic melody, where the rhythm of life, if suggested, does not impose itself. Works that titillate all the senses.
