Nicolas Boldych

Image creator on paper, and writer, I draw a large part of my inspiration from direct contact with nature.

After a passage at Beaux-Arts (Montpellier), I began to experiment with different graphics by guiding myself by two principles: spontaneity in expression and economy of means (pencils, markers, colored pencils, A4 or A3 paper). I came to color later having long preferred black and white.

Graphic research goes hand in hand with, for me, the exploration of other countries and regions. It sometimes takes the form of a travel journal, with texts and drawings. I am also interested, in the spirit of the Cobra group or Chinese calligraphy, in the relationship between writing and drawing. Because I am also a writer.

I regularly exhibit in the PACA and Rhône-Alpes regions. Currently, I have a predilection for landscapes.
