Philip Bernard works primarily with film and Rolleiflex. He makes his prints in his own laboratory on baryta paper.
Biography
Son and grandson of a photographer, Philip BERNARD chose the same career path, learning the technique with his father while his grandfather introduced him to "creative" photography.
It was an internship with Jean-Pierre and Claudine SUDRE in 1976-77 that confirmed his vocation, allowed him to broaden his visual culture, and refine his printing techniques.
Photographer and author since 1987. Since 1988, he has collaborated with regional and national museums to produce art catalogues, which has formed his school of art history, through the thousands of works illuminated and contemplated and has influenced his work.
Born in Lille in 1956
