Biography

French artist Danielle Lescot began her career in ceramics as a teenager and devoted herself to it fully in the 1980s.

After researching free abstraction, Danielle Lescot turned to geometry for both her ceramics and her paintings.

His earthenware pieces explore rigorous geometry, creating a world of cubes, triangles, and totems in vibrant, vibrant forms. Reminiscent of architecture and construction, his work creates a joyful and playful utopian universe.

She creates "brisants," monumental pieces with sharp edges that allow more freedom for the form. For these pieces, she "constructs" the shapes, letting them emerge spontaneously from her mind, thus creating totally unique works.

In 2021, she developed a series of “rings" for the Isabelle Laverny gallery, exploring voids and solids, curves and the notion of balance.
