Biography
Self-taught, Frédéric Vincent began his artistic career sculpting Périgord stone before turning to clay, plaster, and bronze. These materials offer him greater freedom in expressing movement and emotion.
He has created a unique universe, where his gargoyles deconstruct the classic canons of beauty to breathe a light grace and a satirical look at society.
In his sculptures, Frédéric Vincent brings to life intriguing characters, outside of all known references. At first glance, they seem strange and different, but by taking the time to observe them, a connection is made: we find in them our own humanity, our emotions, our fragility. His work invites us to put aside our preconceptions and open our hearts.
