Biography
Hélène Heyberger is a visual artist and sculptor whose practice focuses on metal and the reuse of everyday materials, combined with wood weathered by time. Her approach is rooted in a reflection on the transformation of matter and the valorization of discarded objects and fragments. Using industrial parts, mechanisms, and patinated wood, she creates figurative sculptures in which human and animal figures occupy a central place. Traces of wear, marks of time, and the unique history of each material are deliberately preserved and become a distinct artistic language in their own right. The dialogue between metal, an industrial material, and wood, an organic material marked by erosion, nourishes a rigorous and sensitive style, imbued with poetry and often punctuated by a touch of humor, inviting the viewer to an encounter that is at once accessible, narrative, and reflective, exploring the memory of objects and their metamorphosis.
