Kamaieu

I have always been captivated by colors and their radiance. Life is an inexhaustible palette that nourishes me daily with a thousand new ideas. It is therefore without limits of materials, shapes, and colors that I love to share my emotions and enthusiasm. It was during my travels around the world that I discovered the fascinating beauty and rich diversity of the seabed.

Struck by this discovery, upon my return I set out to visit the most beautiful aquariums in France and beyond, in order to deepen my understanding and immerse myself in the mystery of the underwater world. The circular form I favor is not that of a classic tondo. It symbolizes an imaginary porthole opening onto the seabed; but it is also that of the stars, places conducive to reverie and escape par excellence. I create a link between the aquatic world and the world of dreams by christening these poetic realms, populated by floating and undulating lines, "Planets." While I favor the circular framework, I work without limits within it, in terms of materials, forms, or colors. My canvases bear witness to my pleasure in working with gradations and harmonies, shadows and effects. The colored threads, like the beads, or even the pebbles that I incorporate into my works, in addition infuse them with a part of reality while giving them strength and volume.
