Elise Poinsenot

Élise Poinsenot is a French visual artist born in 1982 in Montbéliard. She lives and works in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Trained in the visual arts from a young age, she has pursued a hybrid path combining artistic practices, living, and art therapy. A professional artist since 2007, her work has gradually evolved towards figurative painting centered on humanity, memory, and personal narratives.

Since 2020, she has been an artist in residence at the Les Écuries Artists' Studios, where she is developing a personal work that explores questions of memory, archives and reminiscence through a contemporary figuration nourished by old images and sensitive supports.

In parallel, she conducts a practice in duo with Nove, under the name La Douche Froide Artists, where painted figuration and graffiti writing interact within monumental and site-specific projects.
