Biography
Dominique Mulhem was born in 1952 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. In 1972, he exhibited for the first time in Asnieres-sur-Seine his works, made with spray paint and stencils. The same year he started his drawing studies at the art school in place des Vosges (Paris).
Dominique Mulhem’s holograms use lenticular holography. He was one of the first artist to use this technique in the 70’s. He is considered as one of the pioneers of holography and the first multimedia artist. His works need lots of time and a real knowledge of different techniques in different fields.
His works aren't sculpture, nor paintings, nor photographs, not digital art. Maybe they are a bit of everything, they are "holopaintings".
