Loodz was born in September 1978 in Ambilly, Haute Savoie but it is on the other side of Lake Geneva, in the Pays de Gex that he grew up. Very early on he began to draw and fall in love with the sci-fi universes that adorn his comics at the time. In 1997, his friend Alker gave him an original of the famous 'PARIS TONKAR' as well as the 'STYLEWARS and WILDSTYLE' video cassettes. For him it is a revelation quickly transformed into passion, from then on he began to practice Graffiti in various forms, which will lead him from 2005 to begin a workshop approach to push his quest further.
On canvas, at that time, Loodz painted only with sprays, in a photo-realistic style, out of a taste for the study of this technique.
From 2010, he began to show his work and participated in his first exhibitions. The feedback is rather positive, but he remains rather dissatisfied. From there he makes a radical change and approaches again his first love, the comic strip. He will keep a technique of coloring mainly in flat, characteristic of the golden age of comics.
In 2012, Loodz on the occasion of traveling to Peru. Strongly impressed by the art of vanished civilizations, the Andean iconography, the work on textiles specific to the sacred valley or the pictorial work of the Chipibo women, Loodz obviously comes back 'changed'. His work therefore becomes more abstract. It was alongside the artist Pro 176, whom he already considered a master of style, that he learned to use acrylic, which allowed him to take an important step forward in his research. His universe clearly tends towards a futuristic and speculative aesthetic, an extension of the graffiti he defends.
-Since 2016, Loodz has occasionally worked with the 'Olfraim' framing workshop, which allows him to promote his work.
-Since September 2017, Loodz has been represented by the 'Superposition' gallery in Lyon.
