Biography
Patrick Berthaud is a French sculptor born in Chambéry (France) in 1968. A discreet and patient artist, Patrick Berthaud works mainly with bronze, resins, stone and terracotta.
Since a young age, he turned to sculpture to which he devoted himself completely. He begins by working mainly on the sites of the Cathedrals, within the framework of the Historical Monuments. In 1998, he was accepted as a Stone Sculptor Companion.
In January 2001, he creates his studio and divides his time between contemporary creation, commissions and training.
The works submitted to the artist's interrogations about human nature, its strengths, its weaknesses, its emotions, and its limits. His assured gesture reflects a high technical mastery. Each of his sculptures seem to emerge from an underlying questioning, they carry messages.
