Biography

In 1970, Le Bars was enrolled in the Beaux-Arts de Paris, joint course in architecture and plastic arts (UP6), then he studied engraving at the Atelier Dorny. From 1970 to 1975, he worked as a designer and colorist for the architects Bernard Lassus, Jean-Louis Rauzier, Louis Arretche. In 1973, he traveled to the Antilles for a year. In 1989, he met Alain Jouffroy and took part in the projects led by the think tank he founded. Le Bars taught painting and engraving between 1989 and 2003 at the municipal workshops of Ivry-sur-Seine. Since 2005, he has been organizing the Readings / Meetings at the Arp Foundation in Clamart, and in 2008 created the Collective 103 / ADLTMR with the photographers Despatin & Gobeli and the graphic designer Jacques Gaïotti.
