Biography
Benoît Averly lives and works in Bourgogne (France). He grew up surrounded by wood. At the age of 22 he begins to learn woordturning skills with Gilbert Buffard. He then travelled in several countries and made woodturning his profession. He quickly became well-known in his specialty.
After a few years he naturally shifted to sculpting wood. Self-taught and instinctive, Benoît Averly creates refined sculptures with strong contrasts, playing with light, lines and textures.
