Anaïs Charras

Presentation

A self-taught artist, Anaïs Charras draws since she was a child. Working on the anatomy, she turned to classical drawing.

Anaïs Charras started with series of graphite drawings on paper, as she likes these simple materials in complex compositions where perspectives tend to get lost. She starts using new techniques, like colored pencils that she applies in layers, similar to a painting.

Currently a member of the Taylor Foundation, Anaïs Charras also received the Barbizon prize in 2014, the Atelier Z fine arts prize for drawing (workshop competition) in 2012 and the Albin Eschbach prize at the Salon des Artistes Français in 2011.
