Biography
Born in 1970, in Bègles, in the heart of the Gironde in France, Xavier Jambon became aware of his attraction for painting at the age of 12, with a book of "Watteau". He was a brilliant student at the University of Bordeaux in Fine Arts, which he described as a magical place, and thanks to this academic teaching he feeds on painting, sculpture, engraving.
After his 4 years of studies he decided to devote his life to to teching great masters (Michelangelo, Balthus, Hopper...) at fine arts schools. Xavier Jambon continues to explore subjects and techniques in everyday life scenes. Whatever the subject, Xavier Jambon invites us to observe things more carefully and just feel. Scenes of fights, parties, attack or scenes at the beach... his vision is incisive, disturbing and captivating.
