The world of the Wileys: a world where every smile, every burst of color, every character, is an invitation to see the world from another angle, that of lightness and joy.
Biography
Laurent Giordano alias Wile was born in 1982. He lives and works in Marseille. He started painting quite young, influenced by the first images of graffiti he discovered in magazines. It was natural that he turned towards graphic design studies which allowed him to develop and assert his style. His work is inspired by his daily life, his city, his journeys, trips, walks and tells the life of the inhabitants he meets or crosses paths. Images of simple and banal everyday life, magnified in color and relief, made more complex by a work of textures and a multitude of graphic techniques. With his camera in his pocket, he captures snapshots of the life of strangers and of the street; street furniture and architecture are as many sources of inspiration as its current mood.
