Nadja B.’s work is very plastic; she paints, glues, sews, and burns as she explores texture and materials. A tribute to personal catharsis, each canvas conveys its own story... and one of hers. What starts as an outlet for purging her emotions becomes something lyrical, dreamlike, and poetic.
She does not intend to provoke her inner demons, rather her process serves as a coping method in which a field of ruins can be transformed into a colorful edifice. Nadja B. explores palettes and sensations in a way that is iconoclastic yet also quite touching and evocative.
