Description
This captivating artwork is a complex collage blending floral and mythological elements. At its center, a white figure, interpreted as Blandine, stands atop a flamboyant purple flower, creating a striking contrast with the textured background rich in shades of brown and gold. Touches of fuchsia pink add a vibrant, lively dimension to the composition. Below, a lion, symbolizing strength, moves gracefully among the petals. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the reliefs, while the ancient motifs evoke a world that is both dreamlike and timeless. This piece stands out for its ability to fuse symbolism and aesthetics, inviting the viewer to explore hidden narratives. The harmony of colors and the juxtaposition of textures reflect meticulous craftsmanship and evoke deep emotion.
Presentation
Nadja B.’s work is very plastic; she paints, glues, sews, and burns as she explores texture and materials. A tribute to personal catharsis, each canvas conveys its own story... and one of hers. What starts as an outlet for purging her emotions becomes something lyrical, dreamlike, and poetic.
She does not intend to provoke her inner demons, rather her process serves as a coping method in which a field of ruins can be transformed into a colorful edifice. Nadja B. explores palettes and sensations in a way that is iconoclastic yet also quite touching and evocative.
