Jeanne Lula Chauveau

Jeanne Lula Chauveau was born in Nantes, France. She currently lives and works between Paris and her home town. After a High School Diploma with a dance option and a Master’s Degree in visual communication, she decides to give photography a central place in her life. Intrigued by memories and sensations, she seeks to blur the lines between real and imaginary. Photograph as well as film and artistic director, she is curious and open-eyed.

Particularly interested by experimentation, she endlessly tries to adjust, assemble, until she creates a new perception. She focuses on being meticulous still giving room to the unexpected. By placing the body at the center of her work, she proposes a rewriting of feminine sensuality. Recurrent themes of her production include poetry, pastel colors, and overall, a universe that brings us back to the thrills of our youth and adolescence. The dream in our everyday life.
