Biography
Stéphane Favier "ZIF" With 15 years of experience in the manufacturing of decorations for events, Stéphane Favier launched in 2013 in the creation of his own works under the pseudonym "ZiF". Artist or craftsman, he does not know which epithet to choose: "I use my artisan knowledge of materials and processes to create objects". Paper mache, resin, painting, collage, he goes from one technique to another to compose playful and colorful pieces: oversized teddy bear covered with a thousand wooden buttons, giant basket in "flashy" colors or apple-shaped lamps . Seduced by the works of Walt Disney or Tim Burton, Stéphane Favier takes us instead to Gulliver's country. Looking at his creations, the viewer has the impression of being a Lilliputian. The idea of covering his works with small heterogeneous elements, from the mini toy to the costume designer pin, is also a trademark. As his projects progress, he draws the outlines of a childish, pop and tangy universe, into which the viewer does not enter without arming himself with a little humor.
