Biography
Born in Fontainebleau in 1945, Sylvie Kimyon is a French artist. She lives and works in Paris at the moment.
She got trained at Arts Décoratifs and Beaux-Arts in Paris, she studied drawing, wood and copper engraving and painting. But she is mainly influenced by her visits and encounters like Etienne Martin Tai Chi or autumn colors of the Fontainebleau Castle's garden.
Sylvie Kimyon displays poetic work, and manages to create harmony through shapes and colors. The artist overlays, juxtaposes geometrical shapes to highlight the notion of emptiness and space. They seem to float and move in a game of infinite folding and unfolding.
