Gaia du Rivau

Born in 1976 in France, Gaia Rivau obtained a degree in creative and artistic expression in Lyon in 2010.

Gaia Rivau's favorite techniques include; the principle of retouching film negatives, technicolor and giving a "burned" appearance to the edges of its "images", a technique that is also a reminder of old films, which he is passionate about.

His black and white pictures are mounted and worked on battered and torn metal plates, he lets time do its work. The contrast between the coldness of the metal and the delicacy of the colors of his images create a paradox about the metallic support.
