Biography
Emilie Chêne is an artist based in France, in the Paris region. Self-taught, Emilie expresses her art on large formats and invites the viewer to contemplate the landscapes she paints. Drawing inspiration primarily from photos she takes, the artist works to simplify what she sees. This simplification is treated in the form of flat surfaces with extra-fine acrylic paint. This reappropriation of landscapes by means of refined forms and the work of pure colors give his vibrant paintings a poetic rendering.
