Biography
Sonia Martins is a young French artist born in 1989.
Her drawings on paper with realistic traits depict contemporary spaces and things which by their unusual combination create unreal images. Sonia Martins' drawings are impregnated of a certain delicacy, her dreamy landscapes are invaded by shades and obstinacy, shades inspired by chiaroscuro of the fifteenth century German draftsmen such as engraver Daniel Hopfer or Tobias Stimmer.
Her artwork includes some sculptures depicting the same idea of "unreal reality."
