Françoise Chazal

Settled in the countryside, my muses are birds, flowers and trees ... And then the sea. It calms me down. I can spend whole days contemplating it, and never get tired of it. It renews itself indefinitely and makes you want to merge into infinity. My paintings are not intended to represent reality, but to share my emotions. However, my initial training being the drawing, if the line is free, the composition always remains rigorous.

This series of blues was born from a desire for freedom and serenity that only a blue monochrome could express. We find there the synthesis of my 3 passions: color, light and matter. I paint in mixed technique, with a contribution of material which will show up on the surface as if it were the veins of the painting. Acrylic, by its speed of drying, is the ideal medium which allows me to always return to my canvas, to reveal the underlying materials and colors.
