Biography
DAG looks for its supports in the street. He especially likes the wild display. He takes what seems “graphic” and meaningful to him with multiple layers, damaged if possible, that he can tear off to reveal colors, words, looks by finding the right framing.
It favors large urban centers (Barcelona, Paris, Turin, Lyon, etc.) in order to find a wealth of media evoking concerts, political messages, personalities.
Its major difficulty is in fact one of the main attractions of its approach: the scarcity of the material. Cities are increasingly "cleaner" and the layers of posters are increasingly thin.
He tries not to interfere too much with the original material to keep the memory of a place, a district, an atmosphere and a period thanks to these posters, witnesses of an era. He tears off those that touch him and ephemeral, they become unique object.
