Biography
Alain Lequesne is a French artist born in 1942 in Bordeaux.
From a young age, Alain Lequesne was attracted by plastic arts and started a training by attending the painting workshop of Renee Seilhan in Bordeaux for two years. It was only after finishing his training that he developed a more personal approach and started working in lyric abstraction, and tried various techniques from "dripping" with a syringe to burned enamel paint.
His passion for Jazz remains one of his biggest sources of inspiration, a passion that reflects in his choice of subjects and in the dynamic of his pieces.
His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibtions in France and abroad, specially in Germany and Algeria.
