Biography

Bruno Peinado is a French artist and was born in Montpellier in 1970. Today he lives and works in Douarnenez.

Bruno Peinado made a name for himself in 2000 with his work The Big One World which shows the famous Michelin man as a black man. Through this simple change, the artist questions society and the discrimination which rages within it.
His graphic and geometric style uses a wide range of artistic codes from disciplines including Pop Art and street art. Images are juxtaposed in a minimalist style in order to strip the elements of their original purpose. Pop culture is showcased more than ever before, used as a vehicle for a powerful political message, Bruno Peinado’s real artistic signature.

A well-known artist, Bruno Peinado has exhibited his work in France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Japan, the United States and Brazil.
