Biography

Born in Bayonne in 1911, Sarthou studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montpellier, then at that of Paris. He divides his time between his workshop in Sète and his national and international artistic activity from his Parisian studio. Several times awarded, he exhibits all over the world. His works can be found in many private collections but also in more than thirty Museums and Foundations in France and abroad.

He died in Paris in 1999.
