Salah Chaoui was born on December 14, 1944 in Fes, Morocco, in an artistic milieu. His father was a theater writer, actor and director.
After a baccalaureate in philosophy, he gave free rein to his passion, painting. After a solid training in the fine arts, he began in 1970 a series of exhibitions in Morocco, Europe and the USA where he settled.
In 2000, The San Diego Museum acquired one of his paintings.
Established in France since 2001, he created his art gallery in Vichy where he exhibits his works permanently as well as renowned sculptors.
in 2004, he was elected member of the Royal Academy of London (Royal Society of Art in London)
In 2007, l'Oreal China sponsored its exhibition at the Changai Museum.
