Arno Metz is a versatile French artist, belonging to the graphic universe and a reknown artist in Brittany.
He draws his inspiration from the Amercian culture to create his pieces, specially from Pop art from which he uses its codes, without limiting himself to this movement. When observing the creations of Arno Metz, the observer immediately thinks of the work of American artist Roy Lichtenstein.
Arno Metz is a real ..... of art, always eager to make new discoveries and new creations, curious to explore different universes, he uses various techniques, supports and materials. He went from stencil, painting on wood to collage, and he did it with great ease. His style is mostly graphic: the colors he uses are bright and numerous, while his trait is refined and black. His work depicts mythical characters from Amercian comics, and includes as well symbols of the contemporary world, such as mangas, advertising spots and textual information, making reference to the world of hyper communication in which we live today.
Ano Metz has participated several times as a scenographer at the Perros- Guirec Festival of comics.
