Colours and light are always a source of inspiration, when they are mixed and superimposed, a magical mixture is always obtained.  

This is how I define my practice.  

Sikart is a concept based on colours, representation, light, travel and multiculturalism.

Sikart has a particular meaning. It is a mixture of two words Sika : in Fon, a Beninese dialect, it means born on a Monday and represents something precious and important, comparable to gold. (first name that I have).

Art has always been part of my life, so I have combined these two words to represent the importance of my origins and my passion for it for several years.

Art is also based on its original origins, and a particular cultural mix of Benin and Martinique brought me to art.

Painting is a way to express my passion for life and my emotions. To do this, I paint with acrylic. The colours are superimposed one on top of the other to create relief thanks to the spatulas I use. Colours which impinge on each other in order to create intensity, depth but above all to give more dimensions and more colours to my works; and to let the imagination catch me and invent a universe around the colours.  

Moreover, sharing one's vision of life is essential and art helps us to open up and see further.  

Several themes and subjects inspire me like nature, emotions and my personal history mixed around Africa and Martinique. This leads me to create original works, to create collections guided by my feelings, emotions, travel but also encounters.  

By looking at my works, I wish that each one creates a universe, a feeling. Because art brings us to that.  

To bring people to surpass themselves, to feel, to appreciate the vision of others through colours, rhythm and brushes. That's why I love to paint.
