Biography

DUAIV (1962 - ): Duaiv is a French-American painter and musician known for vibrant Impressionist paintings characterized by luminous color, expressive brushwork, and energetic compositions. Born in western France in 1962, he demonstrated an extraordinary interest in both painting and music from an early age, completing his first oil painting at nine. He later studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris and at the Conservatory of Music. Inspired by the coastal landscapes of France, Duaiv developed a distinctive style that frequently incorporates seaside scenes, flowers, landscapes, city views, and intimate subjects rendered with vivid color and movement. In addition to his career as a painter, Duaiv is an accomplished cellist and has performed at prominent venues in France and Monaco. He is also known for creating paintings during live performances, combining music and painting before an audience. His work has been exhibited extensively in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and the United States and is held in private and public collections internationally. Duaiv has received several honors for his artistic career, including the Greci Marino Award, the European Foundation Prize, and the Lys d'Or at the Cannes International Carlton in 2004.
