Claire Morand

Painter living in a small village in the PACA region, I am self-taught. I have always drawn and painted. I am incredibly lucky to have been able and able to extend the pleasure and ability of children to use graphics and colors to express their vision of the world much better than with words, shaped in part by their universe. interior and their history. I mainly use acrylic, for the spontaneity it allows.

My painting can be as well colored and in the precision, as dark or in more pastel tones, and in an amplitude of the line which is deliberately made more imprecise. Reflection of the paradoxes that surround us between which my mind wanders. Each of my productions is like a poem where words, rhymes and stylistic effects give way to shapes, colors, and this light that must be followed to reach the horizon behind which lies the unknown, the after. Imagine what is at the bottom of the road, in the hollow of two hills, beyond the mountains, run and dive in the fields, invent a thousand lives ...

Each canvas calls for the creativity of the spectator who becomes my co-producer. I offer him not only a walk around my imagination, but also a meeting with his. I paint colorful animals, nature, landscapes including fields of flowers that stretch as far as the eye can see. My palette is meant to be limitless. She is eclectic as is life. After the selfish pleasure of creation, that of sharing is essential. In about twenty years, I have done several exhibitions in the region, ChâteauneufVillevieille, presbytery of Berre Les Alpes, room of the captaincy of Saint-Laurent du Var, Leisure center of the city of Nice (selected by a jury at the preliminary) at the annexed town hall of Cros de Cagnes, at the "unexpected" Paul Conti gallery in Colle sur Loup, at the Beuil tourist office in Valberg. I won the first prize from the public and the jury several times and recently obtained a quotation (AKOUN 2020). The creation of my micro business allowed me to get started and start selling my paintings. The name I gave it, "Claire V. painting a happiness break", sums up the primary meaning of my approach.
