Laurence Chouzenoux

I paint beauty, but not only. It is also purity and sensitivity. It's a bit of a reflection of my soul.

Biography

Enigmatic young girls are born on the paintings of Laurence Chouzenoux. Stylized faces, large black eyes, pink cheekbones, each of them opens the door to a world of candor and mystery. “I paint beauty," explains the artist. But not only. It is also purity and sensitivity. It's a bit of a reflection of my soul. Or rather… I would like to see myself like that. I idealize, certainly. I sit down in front of the canvas and enter my world. I become Alice in Wonderland. I make it exist from a perfume. It's a reflection of my soul and how I feel. Where did this young girl come from? I would love to know it and at the same time I am afraid to learn it. Maybe an answer could prevent me from continuing to paint them ".
Laurence Chouzenoux lets herself be guided by this quest for ideal and truth. A journey to the heart of the intimate through each new portrait.
