Laurence Chouzenoux

Laurence Chouzenoux is a French contemporary painter recognized for her deeply sensitive abstract universe, where color, material, and light occupy a central place. Through her works, she explores emotions, inner landscapes, and invisible sensations, developing a gestural and intuitive painting situated between lyrical abstraction, expressionism, and plastic research.

Trained at the École supérieure d'art de Clermont Métropole, Laurence Chouzenoux builds an artistic practice based on the experimentation of material and the freedom of gesture. Her work is part of an approach where layers of paint, transparencies, textures, and effects of depth become the essential elements of the composition. The artist mainly uses acrylic paint, which she sometimes combines with different mixed media techniques to create rich and vibrant surfaces.

Her works are characterized by abstract compositions where colors dialogue with each other to bring out particular atmospheres. Influenced by nature, landscapes, memories, and personal sensations, Laurence Chouzenoux transforms her impressions into pictorial spaces open to interpretation. Her canvases invite the viewer to a contemplative experience, where everyone can project their own emotions and perceptions.

Throughout her career, Laurence Chouzenoux has exhibited her work in various exhibitions and art events in France. Her works have been shown in galleries and fairs dedicated to contemporary art and abstract painting, where they are appreciated for their chromatic intensity, depth, and ability to create an emotional dialogue with the viewer.

Today, Laurence Chouzenoux pursues an artistic research focused on the relationship between color, material, light, and emotion. Her work is part of the landscape of French contemporary abstraction, offering a painting that is both instinctive and controlled, where the gesture becomes a means of expressing the invisible and revealing the poetry of sensations.
