Christine Guinamand

Cristine Guinamand's artistic biography could begin in 2001, when, after a fire destroyed her studio and all her work from previous years, and also seriously injured her, she sort of started from scratch. Previously, after studying at the regional school of fine arts in Saint-Étienne, where she obtained a higher national diploma in plastic expression as well as a national diploma in plastic arts, she stayed in 1997 at the Porto School of Fine Arts, as part of an Erasmus exchange.

First known for her painting, Cristine Guinamand has always worked with all kinds of materials: she practices drawing and, on occasion, engraving, does embroidery, makes installations, "reliquaries", sculptures, even "machines" ...
