Biography
Rather solitary and pensive, I have always had a great sensitivity for textures, atmospheres, colours, smells... Since my childhood, I experiment, I draw, I paint, I knead, I taste and I observe a lot.
Over time, my love for painting has intensified. Today I use used steel sheets as a support.
Rust has a bad reputation, but when you touch it and look closely at it, you discover a multitude of small details that are always different. It's never the same, it's very sensual and that's what I like.
I also like the smell. It's a very particular smell that I would describe as "lively" and almost nostalgic. It's a smell that reminds me of childhood, of the craftsmen's workshops of the past, those simple and charismatic places full of history that come to life in a noisy silence.
It is the smell of life that remains when people leave.
When I paint, I like this subtle mix of tactile, visual and olfactory. It soothes me. It is this feeling of authenticity and human history that I try to convey.
I simply let myself be guided by my emotions, often taking inspiration from places and people I have met or just met who have marked my life.
