Claude Gaspari

France

Biography

Claude Gaspari is a French photographer, born in 1936. He started his career working as a reporter photographer for Parisian press agencies in the 50s. Afterwards, he became a photographer for a foundation and a publishing house, a profession that led him to photograph the pieces of some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. In 1984, he started practicing art photography, while photographing for numerous museums like Le Louvre and for specialized magazines such as the Beaux-Arts magazine.

His photographer's look allows him to reveal the poetry of a landscape, of an object, and even of a reflection... He combines what surrounds him with his imagination, he goes beyond reality and becomes the discrete revelator of an intimate and oneiric world.

Knight of Arts and Letters, Claude Gaspari regularly exhibits his images since 1989 in solo and group exhibitions. He has exhibit his work at the Cartier Foundation.
