Philippe Dereux (1918-2001) Collaborator of Jean Dubuffet in the mid-1950s, decides to create his own works around 1960. First of all, painted only, often in gouache, Dereux's works are covered with plant elements (fruits or vegetables) dried, to then be composed only of the latter. Assimilated to Art Brut, Dereux holds a special place in the French artistic landscape. Author of literary works including the famous "Small treaty of peeling"
