Biography
Vénie began her artistic career by learning the techniques of oil painting in workshops of professional artists. She paints landscapes and portraits, but the time spent in these workshops is no longer sufficient for her need to express herself.
Vénie turns to spontaneous, intuitive expression through acrylic painting, mainly, which allows her to welcome each impulse of form and color without judgment and offers her the space necessary for letting go, for astonishment, perhaps to allow hidden treasures to emerge. She wants to welcome all this fully without her consciousness identifying with a body because otherwise they would no longer be one but two.
The non-figurative painting allows this unconditional welcome and an introspective dialogue. She observes what happens, from several angles to be sure to be able to accommodate what needs to be. She responds to what she perceives by continuing with delicacy and balance so as not to intimidate what is trying to be born, this whisper of life, which sometimes lets appear a figurative form.
It is with an enveloping, poetic and hopeful energy that his painting is expressed. The harmony and the softness of the colors and the curves confer a certain security to what is welcomed, a great benevolence. His creations focus on what arises and not on what collapses. Self-acceptance is at the heart of Venie's works. Its creative process is an encouragement to live in a dimension of harmony and of who we are, a proposal of a benevolent being-in-the-world where our inner child has its place.
