Biography
Nea Borgel is a polymorphous, unclassifiable, disturbing and lonely artist. Maybe because she's an ascending scorpion-snake Sagittarius in Chinese, like Picasso. Perhaps also because its name comes from an erotic book and tells the story of a young pervert. Or perhaps because her life, her experiences, her encounters, leave her with a particular lucidity on human nature, with the inherent joys and tears that she tries to transform into an aesthetic and sensitive story. For this, she uses painting, drawing, photography, digital creation, stenciling, collage and volume. It is lost, scattered, spread, because it refuses labels, and any form of confinement.
To be an artist is to be free, isn't it? From color, eroticism, psychoanalysis, geometry, Jung's archetypes to quantum physics, for her, science and the mind are intimately linked. She seeks the link, this link, which unites us all to each other, because for her, this is where the only hope of our humanity lies. Both sensitive and wild, make no mistake, her gentleness hides a deep violence.
