Biography

Philippe DESTORS is recognized as a Master of Still Life.

Creating atmospheres, patiently transcribing with precise realism, fruits, flowers, earthenware, lace, this is the work of an artist whose talent is to bring these small pieces of nature to life. The result is disturbing in truth, especially since it possesses the magic of using light from original angles.

Apples, pears, lemons, cherries and other fruits really give the illusion of life, while waiting for the deceived visitor to be tempted to grasp them to the fullest.

In order to break the line of his subjects, whose composition is however neat, he had the good idea to enhance them with domestic objects such as teapots or goblets whose effects of reflections on the metal produce the burst of light.
