Diane de Cicco

Of Franco-American origin, Diane de Cicco first studied biology at the University of London and then worked as a researcher in the United States. In 1984, she decided to quit science and study photography, which in 1996 led her to drawing and painting via the Ateliers de la Ville de Paris. She is based in Paris and works in Ivry-sur-Seine.

Deep blues, ultramarine blues, turquoise blues, bronze or emerald greens, browns, ochres, whites, pinks, tumults and flights, peaceful plains and gaps towards a beyond... We are in the hollow of the waves which carry us away, we are in meadows of wild grass, we are at the edge of ponds surrounded by gorse, we are elsewhere. The chords and rhythm of Diane de Cicco's abstract landscapes situate us in a physical and mental space-time that arises from the artist's deep relationship to music and nature, like an invitation to travel and an inner walk. .
