Biography

Ekaterina Solopova (Gibris), born in 1993 in Moscow, is an emerging artist currently based in Tbilisi, Georgia. A self-taught painter, she approaches abstraction not as image-making but as a practice of sensing. Her paintings arise from emotion rather than concept, giving visual form to vibrations that precede language. Each work is born from a state of intuitive presence; color, gesture, and motion become the artist's way of translating what cannot be seen but can be felt. Ekaterina describes her process as an act of resonance: she does not search for form but lets it emerge from within, balancing chaos and calm. Her abstractions are mirrors where viewers find their own reflection, as the works do not depict the external world but echo the movement of the soul. Through them, she invites a return to pure feeling: to the breath of light within darkness, to the raw experience of being. New Abstraction: Beyond Form marks her debut exhibition in New York.
