Biography
Alex Litvin is a visual artist working in graphic art and mixed media (acrylic, ink, fine-line pens, watercolor, pastel). Her practice explores archetypes, symbolism, and the connection between humans and nature through intricate compositions featuring animals, plants, symbols, mythological figures, and totemic imagery. Drawing on ethnographic traditions and contemporary visual culture, she creates a distinctive visual language in which decorative patterns and symbolic forms become a means of exploring the unconscious, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life.
Her architectural background informs a strong sense of structure, rhythm, and spatial balance. A major influence was her discovery of traditional Madhubani painting in India: Alex reinterprets its ornate symbolic narrative through a contemporary lens.
Approaching each piece as an intuitive, contemplative process, she creates a dialogue between ancient visual traditions and modern experience.
Artworks are held in private collections in Georgia, Switzerland, and Poland.
Currently, Alex lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia.
