Jürgen Angeler

Jürgen Angeler studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. In 2014 he started painting professionally and had his first exhibitions in the same year. His first solo exhibition followed in 2015. Since then he has constantly developed his technique.

Several exhibitions and workshops followed until today. Jürgen Angeler places particular emphasis on the free expression offered by informal painting, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s/1950s. The mixture of chance (drip-paint, trigger of squeegee) and arbitrariness (impulse setting) plays a significant role. At the end of the creative process, there is a finished painting that expresses the tension built up in the process.

So far, Jürgen Angeler has had successful exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Austria. His paintings are in collections in several countries in Europe, the USA and Japan.

The artist's story

Jürgen Angeler is a full-time artist and was born in Austria in 1982. Today he lives near Munich. In his abstract paintings, he combines squeegee technique and drip painting, two popular techniques in modern art. His works are tailored to the modern zeitgeist. Jürgen Angeler is constantly concerned with current developments in visual arts and society. Many years of work with art history and various artistic techniques form the basis for his work and its constant development. The artist's intention is to create expressive, gallery-quality works of art for your premises that correspond to the modern zeitgeist.
