My love for yarns and textiles shapes my work. I “paint” with needle and thread, using the sewing machine as a drawing tool to create delicate yarn sketches that evolve into three-dimensional objects.
Biography
Susanne Kramer, born in 1967 in Hanover, Germany, lives and works in East Westphalia-Lippe. She studied Textile Design at the University of Applied Sciences for Art and Design in Hanover from 1992 to 1996, and continued her studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague in 1996.
Since 1997, she has worked as a designer and graphic artist in the fashion industry. In 2005, she began working as a freelance artist and designer. Since 2019, she has been passionately dedicated to working with yarn, which has become a central element of her artistic practice.
