Lorenz Holder grew up in Munich, next to the Bavarian Mountains which were instrumental in his life. “I used to be a semi-professional snowboarder. But I had an accident and had to quit snowboarding for the entire 2003 season. It was around this time that I discovered the pleasure of photography. I was fascinated by photos that, captured on a tiny bit of film, could describe a scene as a whole, a whole story, or even a whole day. This fascination was one of my main motivations to start a career as a professional photographer. Today I work as a senior photographer for Pleasure Snowboard Magazine and in the Nitro Snowboards team of photographers. I travel most of the winter, always looking for the best snow conditions and creative places. I love taking pictures of snowboarding in wild places. In my photos I like to present a different angle, something we usually wouldn't notice. I can use different flashes, cameras or lenses - always trying to capture something different ... "
