Biography

Cora Van was born in Flensburg, Germany. Since 1978, she has been working as a freelance painter and also creates installations. In 1979, she moved to Berlin to lead interdisciplinary projects with various groups of artists and musicians. In 1980, Cora began a long collaboration with the artist Ch. Tomorrow then moved with him to Mexico. From 1984, Cora Van actively participated in solo and group exhibitions in various European countries, the United States and Mexico; among which the National Arts Center of the City of Mexico, the Francisco Goitia Museum, Zacatecas, the La Chapelle-Saint-Jean Museum, Garde-Freinet in France, the Old San Agustín temple, Zacatecas, the Casa Redonda Museum, Chihuahua and the Manuel Felguérez Museum of Abstract Art in Zacatecas. Cora is a member of the Colectivo Negro Group and co-founder of the “vega m57 contemporary art gallery” located in Real de Catorce, Mexico, where she has settled.
